Eat Samples, and eat samples
Cons
They have 6 hr shifts but they add your 30 min lunch to your shift instead of taking it out, making your day longer. You leave off the floor 15 minutes before the end of the shift to clean dishes and set up carts in a huge busy retail store, making it less than 15 minutes to actually do them. If you don’t finish you will have to work off the clock or “get a write up”, as if 6.5 hours isn’t enough time to actually do your chores. This could be dangerous because you are dealing with sharps and hot objects and may have a large amount of dishes. Some dishes may be hard to clean. That should be illegal. The customers are annoying and entitled and want anything to try because they are hungry and don’t want to buy. They had sales goals that were so high and instead of seeing how the economy affected the sales, they blame you. Lack of sales also relate to consumer eating habits and budget. They only care about demos being done instead of those who are performing them. They have zero benefits and if you need time off you will have to tell them, but you don’t get paid(sick pay, maternity leave, vacation time). We help Costco customers more than the employees find items since they don’t have signs to direct them to products that they move around daily. Management treats you like a child and don’t care about you and micromanage and harass you. Also older employees don’t respect the young. High Turnover. They may not be here much longer because they treat employees like trash. Many things mentioned is a huge result of CDS catering to demonstrating products for these companies. They raised our pay $2 but that isn’t enough to keep workers and instead it would be better if they gave us 20 minutes to clean instead of 15. It’s a gig job.
