Pros
Good pay and good benefits.
Cons
Over the years, this family-owned business has undergone significant transformations. If you are searching for a conventional, family-oriented atmosphere, Baker might not be the most suitable choice for you.
Throughout my nearly TEN-YEAR tenure, I have witnessed the company evolve into its current state of disarray. The management has become a complete mess, and unless you are part of the inner circle and refrain from engaging in office politics, your significance within the company is essentially negligible. I personally observed a remarkably high turnover rate across much of the organization, with employees frequently coming and going.
The small department I worked in experienced numerous changes none of which benefited us but solely served to enhance managements own image as they were grossly unqualified for the position. Consequently, my department went through ten employees in just a few short years which is quite significant for a department that typically consists of only three to five individuals. To make matters worse, the Executive Team, their peers, and even the HR department are aware of these issues and have received complaints that appear to be conveniently ignored.
