How are the career development opportunities at Anduril?

      Anduril reviews

It’s a start up at the end of the day.

      Anonymous employee
      Former employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

It’s great working for a modern company. Most of the employees are nice, company provides food snacks and alcohol. Company is always moving forward and you feel like the company has a great idea of where they are headed. Work life balance is great here!

      Cons

Terrible structure, extreme lack of awareness when it comes to how a business should operate. A lot of nepotism in this place from hiring to even vendor selection and career advancement. Very throw money at it mentality. Never thought I’d see high school social circles make a professional come back. Get treated like a third class citizen. People are drinking in the office, you see the IT team at happy hour more than you see them work.

Correct level of intensity for a growing company in a serious industry

      Manufacturing engineer
      Current employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Teams have high expectations and work hard to achieve ambitious results. Compared to other companies that achieve the same growth results, I think we do a better job of making sure people aren’t pushing themselves to an unhealthy level. Very unique opportunities for career growth as the company grows.

      Cons

Can be too much politics as teams/orgs grow and the company reorgs itself. Typical problem of growing companies where people want to defend their turf.

      Great Company and People

      Cloud infrastructure engineer
      Current employee
      Costa Mesa, CA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Awesome place to work with a lot of opportunities to build new technologies. People are great to work with. Allows a lot of opportunities to learn new skills

      Cons

Sometimes the work can be siloed, and more individual contributor focused rather than a team based project.

Growing company with poor management support

      Senior software engineer
      Current employee
      Washington, DC
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Company is growing, product is interesting, hottest company in the space

      Cons

Management in DC is poor, had a single 1:1 the whole year. Do not expect any type of investment from management in your personal career growth. Come here entirely if you are interested in the space and intend to stay in it.

Setting the bar for defense contractors

      Lead engineer
      Current employee
      Costa Mesa, CA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Fast paced environment Career growth opportunities Best benefits in the sector Get to work with top talent in the industry for a great learning experience Management listens to IC input TA does an excellent job weeding out negative personalities Lots of selfless professionals willing to jump in and help when needed Singular vision to upend traditional DoD norms and get DoD the best tech as quickly as possible Upper management is very accessible

      Cons

Work/life balance can be a challenge, but PTO is encouraged by upper management and PTO is respected (IE not asked to work when on vacation) Not necessarily a con, but like everywhere in the sector, staffing is challenging at times and the no remote work policy while being HQ’d in CA is a challenge.

      Explosive Growth

      Anonymous employee
      Current employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Explosive growth from 3K at the beginning of 2025 to 6K. Still plenty of opportunities for impact and career development but you need to advocate for yourself and find those opportunities.

      Cons

Poor WLB and unclear expectations for promotions. Outgrowing our offices and parking. Benefits being reduced as we grow bigger to prepare for IPO in the coming years.
