What is the hiring process like at American Eagle Outfitters?

Work is m-th and you’re done by 4pm typically.

No options for 8 hr shift. Horrible third party agency hiring process. Very few, if any, English speaking trainers. AE expects unrealistic rates be made on a daily basis with no regard for any other factors that would slow workers down. Cutthroat process of firing works with 0 notice after a shift ends. No set schedule readily available to read for workers and you’re subjected to having your hours shortened on a whim. Grossly underpaid for a warehouse job.

Easy interview process to get hired

Not much room for growth

good employee to be surrounded with, customers are easy to handle

Management is given most the hours , constantly hiring new people

The discount, I mean is the only thing good

They hire just anyone, doesn’t care about hiring good talent or keeping them

Friendly culture, team bonding, nice store layout, chill vibes overall

base pay regardless of year of experience. I have 3 years of retail experience and can be paid the same as a new employee.

The people there are very nice and it’s a relatively fun job

Short hours and low pay, been there for a year or so and have never gotten a raise. New hires started off making more than I was currently making when they were hired.
