How flexible is your schedule working at AQA?

Good Benefits and Systems, but Team Experience Varies

      Anonymous employee
      Former employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Good benefits package Flexible working and supportive systems in place Mostly fair and consistent salary review process Modern, well-equipped offices Organised and efficient way of working Strong internal systems and processes Many friendly, supportive colleagues and teams

      Cons

Inconsistency in culture and management approach across different teams Some long-tenured colleagues can create challenging team dynamics, with occasional behaviour that feels exclusionary or unwelcoming Neurodiversity inclusion does not always feel consistent in practice despite company messaging Experiences can vary significantly between teams, with some being highly inclusive and supportive, while others appear less open to different working or communication styles At times, interpersonal fit can seem to be valued more heavily than quality of work or performance

      Not bad

      Pros

They were flexible with my contract length - allowed me to extend my end date as much as I needed while I waited for another job.

      Cons

Was strict 9-5. Had to log on at 9 and log off at 5 exactly. No flexible working.

      Cons

poor training, poor management who care little for your wellbeing, shocking treatment for their temp staff

      The ship continues to sink

      Business outlook

      Pros

I'm not sure anymore. The pros I can think of are almost immediately negated by cons. For example: - Offices are pleasant, but not for those with nuerodiversity. - Hybrid working, but they track your attendance. - Flexible working. Requests are generally declined. - Inclusive. Only if it impacts diversity you can see - and even then it's some white middle class HR Director dictating it. - Benefits are good. But typically grow based on what the c-suite want, ie a EV car salary sacrifice used by the CFO only.

      Cons

Just don't. It's good you researched AQA as an employer. And of course, make your own judgement. If you really need a job and this is the only option then do what you must. If this is a potential - I highly recommend you go with the other option. I don't have the wordcount available to talk through the myriad of issues this place faces. The WORST place I've worked by a country mile - and I used to recruit people into it - so you'd think I might have some glimmer of good to share. I don't.
