Pros
Nice coworkers and free movies
Cons
The highest grossing AMC location in the country and it's incredibly disheartening to witness how poorly upper management treats the very crew members who keep the theater running.
Despite the theater's financial success, upper management seems to view its staff not as people, but as expendable parts. Crew members are often overworked, underappreciated, and spoken to in ways that completely disregard their dignity. Feedback is rarely welcomed unless it comes from upper level circles, and there's a pervasive attitude of "do as you're told and be grateful you have a job."
Morale among employees is consistently low due to poor communication, lack of empathy, and an absence of meaningful support or recognition. Many talented workers either burn out or quit and not because they don't love movies or hospitality, but because they feel dehumanized by those in charge.
It's ironic that a location this successful can’t seem to manage the most basic part of any operation: treating your team with respect. A business is only as strong as its people, and unless AMC's leadership at Burbank (and beyond) starts acknowledging that, the cracks behind the scenes will continue to grow.
