What is a Valuation Analyst?

Valuation analysts derive values from private company stocks to help with transactions. They perform market research to identify influences, check record databases, collaborate with specialists in other departments, and present their findings to senior management. They manage stakeholder disputes and execute research regarding market conditions and local influences. They evaluate public and private real estate record databases and support specialists with the evaluation process.

Valuation analysts sometimes refine valuation models to enhance efficiency and accuracy, and execute statistical techniques to evaluate a particular portfolio. Valuation analysts develop models to assist operational refinements and present and summarize findings and recommendations to senior management. They manage an organization’s bankruptcies and stockholder disputes and provide adequate reporting to satisfy requirements. Valuation analysts need a bachelor's degree in finance or related fields.

Job Overview

Responsibilities for Valuation Analyst

  • Responsible for technical ELINT signals analysis of developmental and operational systems derived from radar emissions. jammer and other electronic attack emanations.
  • Provide insight, advice, mentoring, and technical guidance to other contractors and government analysts on analysis problems.
  • Provide feedback to improve ELINT tasking and/or produce tuning updates for national processors to improve automated ELINT reporting.
  • Ability to analyze multiple data sets and to use ELINT terminology to present cohesive analysis findings in the proper ELINT products in accordance with current SIGINT reporting standards (USSIDs AP2410 and CR1400).

Qualifications for Valuation Analyst

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer science, or mathematics.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experienced with algorithm design and writing protocols.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
