Pros

Allows me to work while going to school. Allows me to travel while working. The students are brilliant. Training was a lot of fun. This is a very serious job opportunity. Do not apply if you are looking for an easy job that requires minimal effort. The people who complain in the forums at work are the ones who are usually looking for a free and easy ride. Hint: they don't get one. This job is definitely NOT easy. It is very rewarding and fulfilling though. I adore teaching these children. Teaching culture is very different in China. It is a lot more respected and serious. My personal comment to the bad review below: there is a three stage warning system, so you are never fired unexpectedly unless you vanish for no reason and with no explanation up front, then you need extensive proof as to why. I do not recommend this job for people with serious illnesses, the hours are very early and the work is demanding. If you need emergency time off, you need to send a quick message (using the Ding Talk App on your phone) to your admin and Team Leader. They'll help reschedule your classes so your students aren't stood up. You cannot take off long periods of time though. It is true that the company seems to value stability over super qualified and sporadic good lessons. I have had the same students for 2 years and it is more like a mentorship program.

Cons

Things in management change frequently. Extra work is required outside of paid work hours. Schedules are not flexible, but I find that a pro. I can plan my days better.

Thank you for your thoughtful and thorough review! You are correct about the three-stage warning system and the policy for emergency leave. Despite the ability to work remotely, this job can be demanding on those who require flexibility for health or time off. It’s important to take stability potential into consideration when applying for the job. We appreciate your advice to others on the matter. Based on yours and others’ feedback about extra work outside of paid hours, several changes are already underway including that lesson plans are no longer required for everyone. We are also happy to announce that improved courseware will soon be released. Your professionalism and dedication is much appreciated, and we hope you continue to enjoy your time with us at VIPX!
