Pros

My experience as a project manager here has been largely positive, though not without its challenges. The role offers substantial opportunities for professional growth and skill development in a dynamic environment. The team stands out as highly creative, talented, and collaborative. When alignment is strong, projects progress rapidly and the tangible results of collective effort are genuinely rewarding. Internal collaboration is frequently solution-focused, with colleagues who are invested. Client expectations often drive aggressive timelines and frequent priority shifts, requiring ongoing expectation management, schedule re-baselining, and proactive risk mitigation. While tools and processes provide a solid foundation, the pace and client demand for speed and close partnership can make planning and execution more fluid than in more predictable environments. Leadership support is generally A- but sometimes B+. Company-wide leadership is strong, and we recently had an allhands where the founders shared about the evolution of the company and how being an independent company has been beneficial. However at a project level, some leaders offer clear direction and timely availability, which greatly facilitates decision-making. Others adopt a more hands-off approach, granting significant autonomy to project managers. This works well for those comfortable with independent judgment, but it can create added pressure in high-stakes situations or when client demands are amplified. Personally, I value the autonomy, though it may be less supportive for individuals who prefer more handholding. The Program is a place where project managers have the chance to work with diverse clients on interesting and challenging work. You learn to navigate ambiguity, manage shifting priorities, and coordinate across multiple teams; these are valuable skills that aren’t easy to develop. In short, if you enjoy a fast-paced, collaborative environment and don’t mind filling in some gaps to keep projects on track, they offer meaningful experience and growth opportunities. Just be prepared for occasional unpredictability and a need to be proactive, adaptable, and resourceful on a daily basis.

Cons

Communication across the agency is generally effective, but escalations sometimes occur after issues have already begun affecting project health. This can lead to reactive firefighting and additional effort to get everything back in order. When communication flows well, however, the teamwork is exceptional.

Pros

The team is amazing and supportive. Clients are great too if you like working on name brands which can be a challenge sometimes but fun and rewarding. There are also some smaller/mid companies that we work with which are also very fun and unique. The creative work leans more toward practical than experimental, so it’s not always the most exciting or experiential. But each brief is unique and nothing is rinse and repeat so strategic design is important. There is room to contribute ideas, even if not every concept makes it all the way through. Feedback varies depending on the project or stakeholder but is always constructive and has made me a better designer Workload can get busy but is manageable and for the most part people understand when things stack up. Processes aren’t perfect but are constructive for collaboration and individual contributions. Leadership seems open to feedback and even encourages it. Some of the new hires including a newer HR lead seem really on top of it.

Cons

The company is growing and moves fast which means sometimes there can be some speed bumps. Nothing major to note especially with how kind and professional everyone is. Overall, it’s a good place to build experience and work with incredible people and have plenty opportunity for career growth.

Pros

I’ve been here for about 6 months and have no real complaints. I was put on big projects my first month and have a lot of responsibility, which I like. Things can move pretty fast which suits me well and makes work exciting. But everyone so far has been super open to help and give me feedback.

Cons

We could use more of the office's fav snack items that run out quickly since those specific ones are so popular. Other cons I'm not sure yet since I'm only 6 months in so far.
