Pros

I have been working with Key Technical for a long time and I can say I am proud of where we are as a company today. COVID was hard for everyone and many had to do lay-offs. I witnessed Key look through every single expense they could cut without harming their employees. No one was laid off, no one had a pay cut and there was no drop in benefits. We have been thriving in a remote work environment. Keeping constant communication and virtual meetings to ensure we are all on the same page and still feel like a team. Key has built a team that can rely on and trust each other. Work life balance was always very generous with Key, remote work has only increased those benefits.

Cons

If you don't hold yourself accountable, hit your numbers or complete your expected tasks, you will not last long. The foundation of our laid back culture is trust. It is in trusting that you know what is expected and can get it done that allows the freedom. Those that take advantage of this reveal themselves quickly.

"My sobriety or my career."

I am an employee of Tim Galante’s and about a year ago I came forward to him that I was an alcoholic, I was extremely nervous about doing so as I was not sure of what the ramifications might be. Tim was amazing in the support that he gave me, I could not have asked for a better response. He was supportive in my work life making sure I was comfortable in all company functions as well as just caring on a personal side. When I read this review as a fellow alcoholic, I was furious with this person’s attack on Tim’s character as well as the attack on the company. Since I told Tim that I was an alcoholic he and the company have gone out of their way without me even asking to make sure I was supported 100% with my addiction. I do not believe this statement to be true as I have first-hand experience with this same situation and this story is the exact opposite of how things were handled in my case. If this person is real and not just a fabricated story I would ask you to have a real conversation with Tim about your addiction, you will not be judged or looked at differently you will be supported and made to feel comfortable and truly cared about.

Family comes first

Pros

A great company top to bottom. There were a number of employees that broke off and started a competing firm...likely the source of the bad reviews posted here. One of few companies I've ever worked at that recognize that family time is #1. Hours are infinitely flexible so long as a full work week is achieved and you don't miss client meetings. Clients and therefor work is always changing, so you never get bored. Management is always very receptive to employees problems. Advancement is a little limited, but if you ever want to leave, they will help you find your next job without any hard feelings.

Cons

Can be a little too much variety for some. Vacation and pay could be a little bit better.
