Pros
Excellent management, super accommodating, motivational, detail oriented yet maintain a relaxed working environment, always ready to listen and help as much as they can in every area; impressive skills in positive reinforcement. Very friendly and humorous staff (peers are more than willing to help each other out) and customers (many regulars, respectful and loyal - regulars mostly tip well and are forgiving of errors), smooth and thorough training process for new staff, great holiday party (holiday bonus according to seniority) and seasonal events, family environment, staff frequent the bar after work/off days, encouraging of local band performances, an educational experience in craft beers, flexible schedules, very clean, all food safety guidelines enforced.
Cons
Biggest issue for all servers: mediocre tips (servers usually have very little to no savings), tip sharing (good servers make make more before and leave with significantly less after splitting the tips, below average servers leave with more), preferential treatment by owners (not management) due to politics generated by a few long term employees (note: only a few - which every establishment has in different degrees; brown nosing, engaging in insidious gossip; if directed at you, can jeopardize your good shifts and even employment status), regular theft of tips and business earnings from a few servers (management/owner completely unaware), no janitor; servers double as professional janitor, economically depressed town but even with the cons, this is hands down the best place for a server to work in.
