Great company to work for. If you have any experience in sales, it's a cakewalk. - Sales Professional Sleep Number Corporation Employee Review

Pros

Great monetary compensation for the amount of actual work involved, and full benefits after six months. There also exists good potential for advancement. Plain and simple: this is as good as it gets in retail sales.

Cons

The company has an unnatural obsession with its own corny corporate jargon. Often times more emphasis is placed on adherence to loosely defined positive verbiage than actual sales. This is especially true of the district management.

Pros

The company cares for its employees and has been aggressively moving the pay scale upward to match geographical differences. There is room for growth if you apply yourself. Plenty of long term employees that have been working with the brand for many years. There is a strong sense of pride behind the product you sell. It truly helps people in their day to day life by providing the best possible support for your body.

Cons

Retail hours so you have to work weekends and holidays

Pros

Slow quiet days with little to do. Once a busy store now is absent of customers. Minimum work requirements is about 30 outbound contacts to current bed owners to buy more. Little to no corporate advertising! New product requires you to up your sales skills.

Cons

Almost ZERO work/life balance! If you’re sick you still need to make your monthly goal or go on LOA. Regardless if there are customers or not. No customers, Low base hourly pay and lowered priced items equals low commission. No longer should they advertise an annual income of $64-$120 per year! Management considers you a number. People are leaving fast!
