Pros
I have worked at Regions for over 10 years, and think it is the best hospital in the cities for both patients and employees. A safety net hospital that values charity care and education is rare, and finds the ability to pay for it. Pay and benefits are very fair, and my bosses have treated me well. Patient satisfaction scores and quality scores are some of the best in the state. The facility is being improved constantly for both patients and staff. The hospital is committed to mental health through a beautiful new mental health patient care area of 100 beds - find one other hospital around that does that for the most challenging people in our community. Management puts its money where its values are, and our staffing ratio is similar to other hospitals.
Cons
You will work hard at Regions. If it is a sleepy union job you want, this is not the place. But if you want to be part of the best, who cares for the least of those among us, this is the place.
