it is hard to find decent employees

QK Holdings is a franchisee of Denny's and Del Taco Restaurants. I managed Denny's in Utah. It was fun to work there for the first 1 or so. I learned a lot of new things about managing.

Hours are terrible. Managing a 24 hour restaurant is not for everyone. There was no room for growth really. Performance reviews are not a priority even though you will be promised to be given one at 6 months. I never received my 6 month review at my 6 month mark as i'm sure everyone was in the same boat. When you do finally get a review you are given a small percentage of an increase which I guess wouldn't be a bad thing if you were making a decent wage to begin with. Would not recommend working for QK Holdings. OH.... and Health Insurance! It is ridiculous!!! The owner of QK and a guy from an insurance company were lifelong friends so they were our health insurance. It is outrageously priced. It was about 1/3 of my take home pay!!!
