Pros
You can get lots of overtime (if you want it or not), and decent starting wage. The dental and vision insurance is fine. Good for entry level lab techs. Some roles are work from home or hybrid. Almost impossible to get fired and was considered essential during 2020 so no layoffs
Cons
Weak leadership, higher ups have ivory tower mentality and dated values. Few employees take responsibility, also it is very difficult to advance your career. Over the years, it felt more toxic and department relationships weakened. Get your lab hours in and move on when ready.
