Pros

They at least attempted to have a good structure. The pay was decent, didn't really equal the demands but there are worse. They provided good training for new hires.something you do not see much of anymore.

Cons

Micro managing area manager, cult environment, unrealistic demands. They preach quality of life but you need to work 60 hours just to get stuff done that they expect to be done.

Pros

Some good coworkers. Some of the customers. Decent discount.

Cons

Schedule, put out every week. No time for planning anything without asking for time off if you need to schedule vet appointments or health care. You have to switch shifts with someone if you're sick, or you have to go in and contaminate your coworkers and customers too. If you don't show up because you physically can't, you will be written up like you never called in. Open - close hours switch throughout the year 9am - 9pm, again makes planing anything difficult. Truck days begin at 5am, regardless of bad hazardous weather. You will unload furniture, heavy mirrors and art, along with a couple hundred boxes of other stuff. Then you have to unpack it all, assemble furniture that never goes together right, and put everything away too. The manager has people moving the whole store around on a weekly basis. She is the only one who ever gets to sit on every shift. The assistant manager is rude and unprofessional. It's a thankless job. There are no raises, no possibility for advancement, no bonuses (except for management), and no full time opportunities at all. If you choose to apply here, be prepared to work under unsafe and risky conditions.
