Pros

None. Things present themselves as "pros" up front but they are not in the long run.

Cons

MOST IMPORTANT THING: You will lose SO much money just maintaining your account. Let's break down what you will pay: $99 startup fee - this includes the cost of your starter kit. Not much in it apart from a pack of the wraps, tiny samples of the gel, and catalogs. Additionally, they will immediately try to up-sell you by automatically adding $118 worth of the wraps to an auto-ship (which renews every month). This is optional, but they sneak it on so beware! $20 monthly website fee $35 annual renewal fee Commission qualification - there are two ways to get it: either sell 400 volume units of product per month (that's a lot of product, and many items do not count toward this number) or automatically ship yourself at least 80 volume units per month. Plus the exorbitant shipping and handling. That's roughly $100 to $120 per month. Your first month you will not make anything, guaranteed. With 5 customers totaling at 350 volume units and my own personal volume of 90 I was commission qualified, but I was only making about $40 a month. That's nothing compared to what I had to spend to be qualified. Additionally, you cannot move upward on sales alone. You must get people to distribute under you, and very quickly it becomes about selling to your downlines, not customers, and doing maintenance to ensure that your downlines remain in your company. I mention the distributor retention thing because it is key to the company model. The culture of this company is built on believing that all good things in life are a direct result of distributing for them. There is a mentality among the distributor groups that life had little to no meaning before joining the company, but since joining It Works their lives are now perfect. Distributors often take part in "training calls" which are essentially massive phone seminars during which people who have moved up in the company testify as to how their lives have been changed by this company. Very little time is spent on how to improve business; most is spent either exalting the company, trying to sell others on the company, or discrediting those who take issue with the company. The company culture encourages people to form tight relationships with the other distributors, whilst also encouraging to completely cut off anyone who either is not supportive of participation in the program or is skeptical of the products. I've watched this company destroy otherwise healthy, meaningful relationships - a major reason I pulled out. Long story short, this company will eat you alive. I lost hundreds of dollars on this. Cardinal rule is if it sounds too good to be true, it is. You will not become a millionaire from your sofa unless you get a winning lottery ticket. I'm still mad at myself for even momentarily indulging it.
