Pros
Hi. I'm not normally one to leave online reviews, but the negative reviews of IWG that I see here do not fairly represent a very special workplace. One reviewer said "[management] forced a lot of high qualified professional employees to leave IWG with very dirty methods and traps". I was one of the individuals whose VP role was eliminated after 12 years with the organization - I assure you there were no dirty tricks or traps, it was simply time to reorganize/reallocate resources and the CEO made a responsible decision to keep the company competitive.
Steven Bis, the CEO, is the most versatile and hands-on leader I have ever worked with/for, willing and able to get involved in any corner of the business. When things go well he credits the staff, and when things go poorly he blames himself. It was a joy and pleasure to work with a leader dedicated and capable enough to win the respect of industry giants, including Boeing companies, despite our very small size (for an aerospace company).
Cons
Another review says "Flat organization and extra points if you suck up to the childish management". I don't know why the adjective "childish" made sense to this reviewer, but the points about the organization being flat, and having to work cooperatively with management reflect the biggest con of working at IWG: it's a small company in a sophisticated and highly regulated industry. Every employee needs to be excellent at their jobs, and understand the downstream effects of their actions. A-players with generalist mindsets will find IWG offers challenging and purposeful work, while those more comfortable in large bureaucracies or in narrowly defined roles will be disappointed.
