Loved having a co-counselor. Definitely makes things more manageable.

Cons

I worked with the youngest age group and sometimes it ranged from 3 years old to 6 years old.

Pros

- Relatively stable with job security (including managers and employees that should have been performance managed our) - Strong PTO calendar between holidays and personal vacation - Union-commanded 3% pay increases yearly for all non-temporary staff

Cons

- Internal mobility at all levels is actively and routinely blocked by the executive team. The reality is (very) high six-figure salary earners actively block high performers in their departments that make significantly less from moving up and making a better wage. - The best chance you have of any performance-based upward mobility is being your department executive’s favorite. - There are some extremely loud bad eggs that abuse company-wide communication channels that have not been removed from the org. This contributes to a broader unfriendly and sometimes plainly hostile employee and manager population. - Advice to job seekers: Avoid this organization if you are a professional (all levels) who aspires to grow with tangible markers (promotion, comp increases reflective of performance, honest and accurate performance reviews).
