Pros

A few dedicated and congenial coworkers.

Cons

Leadership is non-existent. Cronyism prevails. Some managers are back-stabbing liars. Bad behavior from some tyrannical employees is sanctioned, creating a hostile work environment in some cases; not sure what you have to do to get fired from Abt. Low-level employees are not respected (I was a more experienced employee who watched RAs taken for granted, treated as personal assistants, and given menial tasks).

Pros

The work life balance is nice. You have the opportunity to work remotely and the PTO is also nice.

Cons

I cannot recommend working here. I joined eager to make an impact and left completely broken. The remote culture is incredibly isolating; colleagues treat you like a screen rather than a person, communication is passive-aggressive, and gossip is rampant. The company puts employees through constant, unstable restructuring. Furthermore, incompetent project management often leads to individual contributors being blamed for leadership's inadequacies. Being laid off was ultimately a relief and a massive weight off my shoulders. Lastly, I did not get a raise for over 2 years. Avoid, unless you are desperate for a job I would not recommend.
