Pros

Altair has a great reputation in the corporate world for successfully moving employees from one location to another. The consultants do a fine job and have a good reputation with their clients.

Cons

The company management has been in flux for a while and they are continuing to gain their footing after the change. They grew too fast after a major client acquisition and infrastructure suffered.

Pros

They have nice restrooms and a snack bar area (although it's never restocked and overpriced).

Cons

I feel like there's some implicit biases and racism that exists within this company. If you're not in everybody's face and overly excited, you're perceived as "uninterested" or "not paying attention". Introversion is not welcome here, and you MUST MUST MUST take notes and create an "Altair bible" to survive, or else you will, again be seen as uninterested or not paying attention. Not to mention, they feel that someone is either going to be a good or bad employee within as little as 30 days. That *may* be true for people who are blatantly not working or participating. However, being introverted is not a direct indication that someone does not want or care about the job. Now I see why the supervisor said some people don't come back after the first day. The environment is very toxic and underhandedly racist, and there's a severe lack of diversity. At this point, it's no wonder there's such a lack of employees; any respectable person could spot the mess from a mile away and run FAST.
