Pros

- Dev is re-building after the untimely death a young CTO (cancer), who was a great leader and mentor to the team, so there is a lot of opportunity for personal growth and to make a name for yourself. - Solid products: MathType, MathFlow, MathPlayer, used by millions - Company overwhelmingly dominates its markets - Solid financially - Job security if you're smart and especially if you're technical - A lot of interesting technology directions being pursued - Great office space, fantastic people - Flex hours for most people - Good social aspects: free bagels, fresh fruit, food and drinks, monthly catered birthdays and happy hours, Gold's Gym and Crossfit memberships, pool table

Cons

The CEO (Topping) is not a good communicator and too intense for most people. When he thinks he's right he does not back down. Puts everyone on the spot. Insulting, sometimes doesn't even know it -- generally not good with people. Being in Long Beach makes it hard to recruit the best.

Pros

I cannot think of any, unless you are the type of person who likes to show up to work (or not), be the CEO's yes man, and not actually produce any work.

Cons

Complete disrespect of all employees (former and current) by CEO and so called COO. CEO has good intentions, but suffers from some type of emotional and/or mental disorder. VP of Sales recently changed his title to COO as he admitted that he could do nothing to the impending doom.
