Pros

Convexity really defines the culture. It is not just a value on a wall. There is a real sense of support from the CEO down, and I have felt that since day one. People are open, transparent, and generous with context. There is also no “Slack panic attack” culture, if you know, you know. Communication is thoughtful, and people genuinely trust each other to do good work. The culture is high-trust, transparent, and human.

Cons

As a new joiner, there is a learning curve. The level of transparency was eye-opening at first, and it took me a minute to get comfortable with it. That said, this feels more like a “me” con than a company con. Now, getting used to it, I realized how much it helps people understand the business and make better decisions.

Pros

Amazing company with an exceptional culture. The people are incredibly smart, thoughtful, and collaborative. It is clear that the culture is real, not just something that comes up at all hands. People genuinely live their values every day, which creates a strong sense of trust and respect.

Cons

Honestly, I do not have a single negative thing to say. My experience has been overwhelmingly positive, and the company has fully lived up to what it promises in terms of culture, talent, and values.

Thank you for such a thoughtful and detailed review, it really means a lot. We’re especially glad to hear that the alignment between what we say and what we do is felt in your day-to-day experience. Building a culture that is both explicit and genuinely lived is something we care deeply about, and it’s encouraging to see it reflected so clearly in our working style, coaching approach, daily interactions... Your point about protecting this culture as we grow is key. It’s something we’re very intentional about, and we know it requires continuous effort, clarity, and collective ownership. Thanks again for being part of this journey and for contributing to what makes the culture what it is today.

Pros

The company truly embraces a fully remote environment. It isn't just "working from home"; the workflows and communication are built for it, allowing for great flexibility. "Convexity" culture is real. While I’ll admit it’s not for everyone, you have to be self-driven and comfortable with a high degree of accountability and independence.

Cons

The onboarding is no joke. It was very challenging to get through, and at times it felt scary. However, they provided a lot of support from mentors and the ops team. You do feel prepared for the day to day once you get past it... But not everybody does.

Thank you for your thoughtful and honest review. We’re really happy to hear that our remote-first setup and culture of autonomy resonate with you. Building a truly remote company — not just “work from home,” but remote by design — is something we care deeply about, so it’s great to know that this is making a positive difference in your day-to-day work. You’re absolutely right about the onboarding: it’s intense, and we know it can feel overwhelming at times. Our intention is to set people for success while giving them the tools and support, but we’re aware that this experience isn’t equally easy for everyone. Your feedback is valuable and helps us keep improving how we welcome and support new joiners. Thanks again for sharing your perspective, and we’re glad to have you on this journey with us.
