Labatt – Why Work With Us?

Labatt has been shaped by more than 170 years of brewing excellence and commitment to the communities where it operates. Since 1847, the company has never lost sight of the fact that it's in business to serve its customers and consumers. By continually finding innovative ways to enhance the consumer experience with its brands, we evolved from a single small brewery in London, Ontario to become an internationally renowned brewer.

With a portfolio of about 60 quality beers and breweries from coast to coast, Labatt today employs 3,400 Canadians across four major market regions: Western, Ontario, Québec, and Atlantic.

We are also proud to be part of Anheuser-Busch InBev, brewers of over 200 brands that include global flagship brands Budweiser, Stella Artois, Beck’s and Corona Extra.

Excellence and Passion to Win
We are accountable for the products and services we provide to our customers and consumers, whose satisfaction is our primary objective. To deliver on this promise, we commit ourselves to constant self-improvement.

The needs and desires of our customers and consumers are constantly changing. We will meet their needs with innovative new brands and services. A long-term view balanced against short-term commitments enables us to keep our feet firmly planted while leading the industry in new ideas.

Team spirit
As individuals committed to Labatt's collective interest, we will exercise our obligation to examine current practices to see if they can be improved. Working as a team provides the opportunity to achieve at a higher level, so we seek and overcome challenges as a group through continued collaboration and knowledge sharing.

To fulfill our team ambitions, we will nurture an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect. By adhering to the local regulations and policies under which we operate, insisting on full and open disclosure, and unambiguously communicating both individual and team results and rewards, we will earn the mutual respect that supports effective teamwork.

Labatt has a long-standing tradition of supporting events and activities at all levels in communities across Canada. From amateur and professional sports to local events and charitable donations, Labatt remains committed to giving something back to the communities that have helped make it one of the world's most successful brewers.

I have been working at Labatt full-time

    1) My curiosity and enterpeneualism are highly encouraged and I have ownership overmy projects. The work on a day to day basis is extremely dynamic
2)My colleagues are very passionate about the work and the company and they are always approachable and supportive
    3) The management team has helped my development and provided mentorship and guidance to me from my first day at the company. This applies to everyone from my immediate manager, all the way to members of the management committe-- they are always enocuraging, approachable and show great leadership

Some roles may not be suitable for everyone because you are expected to be a self-starter and set your own course, which does not work for everyone. In addition, progression is more limited if you are not fully mobile

    Advice to Management

Work on a continued focus on diversity, when our colleagues join the company with varied career experience, education, gender experience, etc. it makes the work environment more dynamic and leads to innovation and new idea generation

    Difficult Interview

I applied through college or university. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Labatt (London, ON) in November 2018.

Applied for the GMT program and got moved to the BTP program after 2 interviews because it was better suited to my skills. Next step was a skype interview that took about 30 min, it was all behaviorist and talking about resume. Final round interview was an hour long panel interview. The panel interview was with 4 other applicants and 4 members of the Canadian senior leadership team. The interview consisted of them asking us questions one by one.
