Position Overview
We are seeking a Braze Backend Developer to support the design, development, and integration of customer engagement solutions powered by Braze. This role focuses on backend development, data integration, event architecture, and platform connectivity to enable scalable, personalized customer experiences.

The ideal candidate has experience working with marketing automation platforms, APIs, cloud integrations, and customer data systems. You will partner closely with CRM, marketing, analytics, and engineering teams to build reliable and scalable backend solutions that power omnichannel customer engagement.

Responsibilities

• Consult as a Braze expert to tier one clients including discussing capabilities, and designing solutions to meet the needs expressed by the client
• Design, develop, and maintain backend integrations between Braze and enterprise platforms
• Build and support APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures for customer engagement workflows
• Develop and maintain customer event ingestion pipelines and data synchronization processes
• Configure, build, test, and deploy automated / triggered campaigns and customer journeys within Braze
• Collaborate with CRM and marketing teams to support audience segmentation and personalization requirements
• Implement and maintain integrations with platforms including various CDPs (including homegrown solutions), data warehouses, mobile applications, and web platforms
• Design data models to support day to day operations, including but not limited to recent sales, RFM, personalization data, website data, engagement data, and other
• Support transactional messaging frameworks and triggered communications
• Monitor integration health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards are maintained
• Create technical documentation, integration specifications, and operational procedures
• Be a subject matter expert on all things Braze for key accounts

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of backend development or marketing technology experience
• At least 2 Braze certifications
• Experience integrating Braze with external data sources
• Hands-on experience with Braze platform integrations and APIs
• Strong experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON data structures
• Ability to create documentation and communicate alignment with stakeholders
• Experience with backend programming languages such as Node.js, Java, Python, or C#
• Experience with cloud platforms and serverless architectures is considered an asset
• Familiarity with customer data platforms (CDPs), CRM systems, or marketing ecosystems
• Understanding of customer data flows, event tracking, and real-time integrations
• Familiarity with SQL and database technologies
• Experience working with Git and CI/CD processes
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Pay: $100,000.00-$115,000.00 per year
