Job description

Castle Construction is looking for an experienced civil construction superintendent with experience in water & sewer capable of leading crews on various civil underground projects in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will provide leadership & support to the water and sewer construction crew. They will work closely with the Project Manager/Foremen to manage and execute the project efficiently and safely by providing construction expertise and support to the underground division.

Job Description:

• Organizing & execution of daily construction plans
• Daily communication with the PM & collaboration with Foremen to ensure production timelines are being met, and proactively addressing any obstacles or risks that may put the production schedule at risk.
• Discuss equipment and material needs onsite, and work with the PM to ensure timely delivery.
• Determine labour needs to complete the project,
• Ensure all crew members, and site visitors comply with safety and health regulations
• Lead site meetings to ensure information is communicated to necessary parties.
• Report accurate field information for financial and billing purposes
• Work with the PM to identify any potential project cost overages, assist in working through mitigation procedures.
• Overall authority of all daily construction operations onsite.

• Knowledge of local and Castle safety regulations and have the ability to consistently enforce them
• Ability to work extended hours when needed

Relevant Experience:

• 5+ years in civil underground construction or related fields in a Superintendent capacity or higher
• Must have valid Class 5 drivers licence
• Required safety training: CSTS, WHMIS, Ground Disturbance, TDG, LSE, First Aid. Training assistance can be completed for the successful candidate if needed

Compensation requirements are negotiable with the successful candidate based on previous experience levels.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
