Safety and Co-operation

• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and recommend changes for improvement.
• Attend all safety meetings and actively contribute at those meetings.
• Take responsibility for your own safety and that of fellow workers.
• Make appropriate suggestions for the improvement of health and safety within the company.
• Adopt and demonstrate a leadership style which emphasizes the concepts of “team approach”, coaching of others for optimum performance and open, two-way communication

Responsibilities / Duties (may include but are not limited to)

• Quality inspections
• Electrical Safety
• General Safety
• Site Audits
• Daily Progress Reporting
• Pull plan review
• Grounding plan review
• Holding Permits (GOI, GNR, CI, etc.) as required
• EWR and FCO claims review
• QA/QC inspections, populating outstanding items lists, verification of fixes & sign-off.
• Facility acceptance
• Contractor Coordination
• Communication with engineering
• Reporting and notification to management of possible delays
• Site document control

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Must hold a Interprovincial (red Seal) Journeyman Power Lineman’s Certification
• Minimum of 10-15 years experience in Transmission & Distribution construction and Maintenance.
• Standard First Aid
• Fall Protection (preferred)
• High angle Rescue (preferred)
• H2S Alive (preferred)
• Valid Drivers license
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Must present themselves in a professional manner at all times.
• Maintain a cooperative environment worksite and encourage teamwork with others.
• Ensure all office equipment and components are maintained and in good operating condition.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards throughout the office.
• Participate in worksite inspections or field visits.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Commitment to provide superior customer service.
• Self motivated person who can work on their own or with others as needed
