Reporting to a Manager in Information Technology Services (ITS), the Data Scientist will work as part of a collaborative team to apply data analytics, machine learning and statistical modelling techniques to enhance service delivery through data informed decision making, automating municipal processes and supporting the overall digital modernization efforts for ITS. This position will contribute to the development of enterprise-wide data and artificial intelligence strategies and leverage advanced analytical techniques to enhance the operational efficiency with divisions across the corporation.
Completion of a four-year honours degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent.
Five years of experience in data science, data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning or related experience.
One or more of the following certifications are assets:

$64,785 - $94,167 (Level 15)
This posting is for two (2) permanent full-time positions being filled on a permanent full-time basis.
Current hours of Work: Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid. Subject to change in accordance with business requirements.
These hours of work are subject to change in accordance with the Collective Agreement and may include evening hours and Saturdays.
