Job Summary
As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing tax compliance, advisory services, and
managing a team of accounting professionals. This is a client-facing role that involves working with high-net-worth individuals, businesses, and corporations. You will lead tax planning, ensure compliance with current tax regulations, and provide strategic insights to help clients optimize their tax positions.

Key Responsibilities:
· Lead tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse portfolio of clients, including individuals, SMEs, and larger corporations.
· Oversee and review corporate, personal, partnership, and trust tax returns.
· Manage complex tax planning, including succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border taxation, and more.
· Collaborate with clients to develop tailored tax strategies that align with their business goals.
· Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, advising clients on the implications of these changes.
· Supervise and mentor a team accountants and staff, providing training, feedback, and support for professional development.
· Review and manage the work of junior staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality client services.
· Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering proactive advice and ensuring client satisfaction.
· Assist with business development efforts, including networking, writing proposals, and identifying opportunities to expand services within existing client relationships.
· Work closely with senior management to ensure strategic objectives are met, contributing to the firm's growth and profitability.
Experience
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax-focused roles within public practice accounting.
· Expertise in Canadian tax laws and regulations, with a deep understanding of corporate tax, personal tax, and tax planning strategies.
· Strong managerial skills with experience in leading and mentoring teams.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and staff at all levels.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Ability to work independently, take initiative, and demonstrate problem-solving abilities.
· Proficiency in tax software (e.g., TaxPrep, CaseWare) and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Experience in business development and client management is an asset.
This position offers an opportunity to lead a dynamic team within a reputable accounting firm dedicated to delivering high-quality financial services.
Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
