The technical interview felt very haphazard. I was first told by the hiring manager that it would be in PyTorch, but the actual questions were regarding pandas. Moreover, the interviewer said to emphasize code quality and readability and docstrings, but then said to ignore details and to move on. Then I was asked to write a unit test, but it was unclear the assumptions that they were making. More so than the technical interview, I got the feeling that the this position didn’t emphasis machine learning and the underlying biology / science of the problem they are trying to solve, and rather wants more ML ops type of employees.
