I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Condé Nast (New York, NY) in Jan 2018
Interview
I applied for an editorial role. Once the hiring manager initially made contact, we arranged a time when I would take a 90-minute edit test. The team then reached out to me for an in-person interview, during which I met with several editors in two groups. I also spoke with the HR rep.
One week later, I emailed the HR rep to ask if there were any updates. A week and a half after no reply, I reached out to the hiring manager, who responded later that day that they were going with another candidate.
It's fine that it didn't work out, but I was irritated that I had to reach out (twice) to get a response after taking the time to complete a test and go into the office.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me a few specific questions about my background and also asked about any improvements I'd suggest for the title.
Spoke with HR on the phone. They asked me to come in the following week to meet with editors. They copied me on an email that no one responded to. Very shady.
