Tomorrow is Juneteenth and the markets will be closed. Out of curiosity, how do you feel about the relatively new market holiday? ⢠Strongly support it ⢠Neutral â a day off is a day off ⢠Prefer the markets remain open ⢠Doesnât impact my business either way For those who have been in the industry a long time, has Juneteenth become just another market holiday, or do you still see mixed opinions among advisors, clients, and firms? Me, I like the day off.
A lot of people say âmoney isnât everything,â but it becomes something very quickly when you feel underpaid. Itâs hard to stay motivated when the gap feels obvious. How much does compensation affect your day-to-day morale?
Iâve been thinking about whether âcareer growthâ always needs to mean climbing higher, or if sometimes it just means finding a role that fits your life better. That mindset feels healthier to me. How do you define career progress now?
Hi Everyone, I have been having trouble finding a new job (10 months and counting) as a Project Manager despite my extensive experience in the financial industry, I don't want to speculate on the reasons, but now I'm getting to the point of applying for jobs at Walmart or Costco so I can pay my bills more easily, I'm fine with this because work is work but I can't help but think that there may be other options for work that I'm just not considering, or not know about. Any thoughts? Thanks
I got a nice review recently, but no change in comp or scope, and it made me wonder how much praise matters without action behind it. Kind words are great, but they donât pay rent. Do you value recognition if it doesnât come with tangible reward?
