Is CLA really all lollipops and sunshine like their social media makes it seem?
Does anyone here have student loan debt? If so, how much? How old are you, and how long have you been in public accounting? PwC EY KPMG Deloitte
Hearing rumors that the EY Honolulu office may be shutting down. Does anyone have insight into what that could mean for employees based there? Curious whether relocation would be required/covered, if people would move to remote alignment, or if layoffs are typically involved in situations like this.
When do we officially stop being young professionals? I've been thinking of myself as a young professional this whole time, but I'm 38. Can I still claim to be young?
Weird question, I know, please forgive me, but does your office allow you to wear shorts or open toed shoes in the summer? It gets stupid hot here and the fact that we can't wear summertime appropriate clothing in my office is pretty enraging to me.
Why don’t you just discuss it on Reddit?
A3, and if you respond with that on reddit all you'll get is a ton of downvotes and laughing emojis that you're apparently the idiot. All this coming from people who have such little experience. Even crazier is that business insider article (or whatever news site) that did an article on the accounting industry, entirely based on "interviews" and excerpts pulled from the accounting subreddit... really made me realize how poor some of these news sites are, which have these dramatic headlines based off someone rambling their mouth without much meaning
Not even gonna read that thread, the answer has always and will always be more money
We’ve already discussed it a lot here. Go find those threads 🤷🏼♂️
Simple: give more time to your employees during work hours to do the training. Any additional non-mandatory should be suggested and not mandatory.
Exactly EY 1…everyone says it’s so unfair, we have busy seasons, I had no choice but to take my required CPE three hours before it expired. 🤦♂️ We all work busy seasons…. I sure you can find a couple hours in the year to finish a REQUIRED independence learning. Common theme for me is zero sympathy
