You will take on a pivotal SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) role within the Smarthome Software Quality Assurance team (part of the Connected Home Development and Operations organization). Together, our primary focus will be on delivering top-notch customer experience and end-to-end quality for everything SmartHome, including video services, integrated home security, & energy management. What you'll do:

This is an exciting SDET role on the Smarthome Software Quality Assurance team, within the Connected Home Development and Operations organization. Our aim is to ship the best connected SmartHome solution - we will do so by owning and delivering great quality for the end to end customer experience. As an SDET you will get to define what functional quality means for this solution and drive automation goals that help scale and grow testing. You will build functional quality gates, quality best practices, automation infrastructure, as well as interesting, high-visibility tools. Ultimately, you will get to define the customer experience of our SmartHome ecosystem, & be a part of the next generation of SmartHome and IOT innovations.

• Become a Functional QA Prime - Develop and implement a comprehensive functional testing strategy, author test plans, lead cross-functional strategy reviews, bring up a functional testing repository for the Smarthome ecosystem

What you bring:

• You have a QA mindset that values customer experience. You write your test strategies, test plans & test cases with the customer at the forefront
• You are known for your expertise with software QA best practices, processes & technologies including:
  • QA practices such as requirements gathering, creating strong quality gates, working with ambiguity, meeting schedule driven timelines, data driven quality reporting
  • Automation with tools such as Appium, PyTest and Selenium, and automation frameworks
  • DevOps processes such as continuous integration and delivery
• You are able to bring people together to collaborate and solve problems by creating an open environment for sharing ideas and identifying solutions
• Known for your work or curiosity to learn new technologies:
  • AWS CI/CD Tools such as: AWS CodeCommit, AWS CodeBuild,AWS CodeDeploy, and AWS CodePipeline. Prior experience integrating automated tests to CI/CD pipelines.
  • AWS Serverless services
  • AWS scalable services including: AWS ECS, AWS DynamoDB, EC2
  • Typescript and Python programming languages
  • Robot test framework
  • Atlassian Jira and x-ray plugin
  • Atlassian Confluence
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
