Quality Manager

We are looking for an experience Quality Manager to join our growing team.

This full-time position will be responsible for measuring, monitoring, and leading the implementation and development of the Quality Management System and continuous improvement programs in all areas of the organization at the manufacturing site – both internally and externally. The ideal candidate is able to stay organized and maintain their attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Significant involvement with all areas of product and manufacturing, while also increasing our communication and collaboration with key departments is instrumental in this position.

--> Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development, maintenance and certification of the Quality Management System according to the ISO 9001 standard (Procedures, Processes and Work Instructions)
  • Manage the capacity and availability of resources and administration of documentation for all departments related to the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
  • Oversee Quality Inspection and Test Procedures and standardize processes for efficiency
  • Lead 8D Corrective Action Report (including 5Y and Fishbone) activities and verify completeness and effectiveness
  • Identify and provide training, mentoring, and guidance for team members in operations
  • Oversee the reporting of any non-conformances occurring within the organization, including the investigation and implementation of corrective measures and reporting
  • Collect and communicate KPI’s related to Quality as defined and identify trends and causes
  • Oversee and develop process improvements strategies and document
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to enhance productivity in areas of quality, cost, performance and maintenance
  • Schedule and perform internal audits and coordinate activities and interface for external audits and administer respective CAR’s related to any findings
  • Ensure timely disposition and issuance of CARs for Quality rejects and the RMA process
  • Develop & implement Vendor Management program and supporting metrics
  • Oversee ISO and quality training programs to new and existing employees
  • Any other related duties in connection with the position including but not limited to:
  • Risk Assessments, PFMEA, Six Sigma, 5S, FOD Prevention, Kaizen, IPC Standards
  • Understanding of UL, CSA and other regulatory requirements
  • Must abide by and help Lead Improvement to Health and Safety Rules and have demonstrated commitment to good housekeeping/organizational practices
  • Responsible for compliance to company and regulatory standards
  • Maintain and develop strong working relationships with other departments and outside vendors
  • Strive for continuous improvement in all aspects of the work environment, this includes active participation in company committees, project teams and relevant job training
  • Commit to self-development goals as discussed with your Director and attend company-sponsored training

-->Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in relevant field with work experience
  • 3+ years related management experience on Infor Syteline ERP systems using QCS Modules
  • Certified Lean/ Six Sigma Leader with experience in deployment of Lean projects.
  • Certification as a Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, Quality Lead Auditor, and/or Engineer by a recognized institution such as ASQ.
  • Extensive experience with ISO 9001:2015 standard
  • Results oriented, and able to effectively execute on projects with minimal supervision

Language Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written. Effective presentation skills and ability to communicate within different levels of the organization.
  • Ability to write documentation such as operating procedures, work instructions, etc.

Computer Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge and experience working with ERP system/s.
  • Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office applications (Access, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)

Other Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications:

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of Mechanical and Electrical Manufacturing
  • Demonstrated success in maintaining positive interpersonal relationships that encourage team members’ openness using exceptional problem-solving, facilitation, and collaboration skills

Schedule: This is a permanent, full-time on-site position. Our office is located in South Surrey, BC.
