SAExploration is an internationally focused offshore and onshore oilfield services company offering a full range of vertically integrated seismic data acquisition and logistical support services in remote and complex environments throughout United States, Canada, South America, Europe, Southeast Asia and West Africa.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of In Field Quality Control (IFQC) for our global operations. This is a position based in Calgary, AB.
The IFQC is responsible for the review of and quality control on acquired seismic data, ensuring that project deliverables meet expectations outlined in the scope of work and on-time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Data Quality Assurance: Ensure the acquisition of high-quality seismic data by continuously monitoring data acquisition systems, sensors, and equipment.
· Quality Control Protocols: Implement and maintain quality control protocols to verify the integrity and quality of acquired seismic data.
· Seismic Source Control: Monitor and control seismic source operations to ensure the generation of consistent source signals.
· Data Management: Assist in the management of acquired seismic data, including data transfer, storage, and archival procedures.
· Equipment Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions and issues to minimize downtime during data acquisition.
· Quality Reporting: Prepare regular reports summarizing field activities, data quality, and any deviations from established standards.
· Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with the seismic crew, project managers, and clients to report any data quality issues and provide updates on data acquisition progress.
· Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in seismic data acquisition.
· Team Collaboration: Collaborate with seismic crew members, geophysicists, and geologists to optimize data acquisition parameters and achieve project objectives.
