Front Desk Receptionist - Cole Sawler Law Office

Cole Sawler Law Office is currently searching for a receptionist to join our small firm located in Middleton, Nova Scotia. Our firm practices primarily in the area of real estate, wills/probate, and corporate/commercial.

This is a full time position with start date as soon as possible. This person will act as the first point of contact for clients. The successful candidate will oversee all the receptionist and secretarial requirements at the front desk and provide legal assistant support to the lawyer and the firm’s clients. This position will require the ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are critical. Excellent communication skills are a must as the front face of our firm. Application review begins as soon as applications are received. Only selected candidates will be contacted for an interview. Applicants must be available to work in-office from 8:30 to 4:30 M-F.

Responsibilities including but not limited to:

Reception duties including answering phones, booking appointments, greeting clients
Office duties including filing, monitoring and responding to email, photocopying and faxing, and banking
Legal assistant duties including the management of confidential information, transcription, drafting correspondence and legal documents, note taking

Requirements:

Training or experience with law office procedures and legal terminology an asset but not necessarily required
Two years experience working in an office environment
Understanding of office administration and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work in a fast paced, small team environment
Candidate needs discretion and excellent interpersonal skills
Must have a motor vehicle and valid drivers licence
Flexible and dependable
Strong computer skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
