Safa & Marwa is a private not-for profit Islamic School in its 26th year of operation located in central Mississauga. Safa & Marwa School is registered by the Ontario Ministry of Education and we offer a fully accredited program from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12.

We are currently looking for a qualified Arabic, Islamic Studies and Hifz teacher for elementary grades for full-time position starting in September 2023.

Requirements:

Strong Islamic Studies background
Strong memorization of the Quran, along with correct Tajweed
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task with confidence, converting strategies into effective operational activities and achievements.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, approachable for students, parents and colleagues.
Willingness and proven ability to work within a growing school environment
Knowledge of Ontario Curriculum and current teaching practices
Active and ongoing research and development in academic area of expertise.
Skills in classroom management and discipline follow-through.
Minimum university bachelor degree, and bachelor of education, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Knowledge of the Islamic faith and practice
OCT is an asset
