Business Analyst, IT
Are you excited about developing technical solutions for a business going through an innovative transformation? Reporting to the Manager, Project Management Office, you will be a key contributor in LCBO’s IT Business Project and Delivery technology initiatives. In collaboration with other members of the PMO team, you will outline, analyze, and document business processes and requirements and how they integrate with technology.

A bout the Role
Lead/Participate in data gathering and analysis to understand business objectives
Collaborate with IT stakeholders to assess existing internal solutions or whether new solutions are required and feasible
Proactively identify technology opportunities that support business strategies and performance
Participate in cost estimates for the planning of new systems/enhancements for assigned systems
Collect, analyze, map, and communicate business requirements, and support user testing to achieve business goals
Project Management & Business Delivery Management
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the IT organization, managing client expectations and ensuring alignment between business needs and IT activities
Collaborate with Business Analysts and Business Delivery Managers to educate project team members on business unit goals and project requirements
5-7 years of ongoing IT Business Analysis experience
University degree/Undergraduate in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other work-related experience
Strong analytical, communication, and facilitation skills
Sound knowledge of analysis, design, and testing tools
Excellent business acumen and ability to understand end-to-end business processes, with solid business requirement documentation experience
Experience working with developers on projects in Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid environments
Knowledge of project management methods and practices
Knowledge of MS Project with accurate time estimates and planning
Collaborative team player, who builds relationships easily across various stakeholder groups to move initiatives forward
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
Intermediate technical knowledge and expertise in computer applications/software, related operating systems, and hardware, as well as experience in systems development
Experience working with retail systems for large enterprise or retail clients is an asset
