  • We are SO excited to announce that ATA has been named a 2018 Canada's Most Admired Corporate Cultures winner in the Growth category by Waterstone Human Capital! This national program annually recognizes best-in-class Canadian organizations for having cultures that enhance performance and help sustain a competitive advantage. We are one of only ten winners in our category, and forty-two companies Canada-wide. No small potatoes!

How exactly is our culture deemed admirable? Organization’s submissions are scored on six categories:
    - vision and leadership
    - recruitment and hiring for fit (though we made a point that we hire for add)

  • Gather round, it's time for a lesson. Well, five of them, actually.

In this piece from the team at Flow, Kenshi Arasaki, ATA CEO, shares our penchant for the road less travelled in mobile games. For the past ten years we've defied conventionalism to become, as Flow writes, "the most successful games company you’ve never heard of."

Learn Kenshi's keys to launching a successful mobile game, but full disclosure, we're still refining that ourselves: “I think we've probably made every mistake in the book when it comes to launching games. Every time we launch one, we learn a lot.”

  • We're honoured to once again be listed among Canada's Best Employers for Recent Graduates by The Career Directory!

Recent graduates account for a significant portion of our hires, and we credit this to our longstanding co-op program. We've said it before and we'll say it again: we are super invested in ensuring the time our co-ops spend with us is instrumental to their careers. A strong testimony to the strength of this learning experience is the talent pipeline it has created: nearly half of our current roster of software engineers began their ATA journey as a student.

In other words, recent graduates mean a lot to us, so this designation means a lot to us. Thank you!

For example, with a game like Flappy Bird - it's a simple game, but the premise is that it's so hard that you're supposed to fail, and that's kind of the point of it. Doodle Jump is another example - the game itself is simple, but it uses an accelerometer.
