Trying to understand what would be a competitive salary should be for my position. I’ve been working as an AE at a rep firm in Los Angeles for the past 8 years. During that time, I’ve billed $178 million dollars in total—$97.5 million since the pandemic—and I’ve never not hit my budget. I’m told our profit margins are between 13-15%. My current comp structure is $110k base, $30k commissions and the promise of a $30-50k bonus if our budget is hit. Is this anywhere close to being competitive?

Hi all - please set me straight. Am I on par with comp? AdTech Sales - Account Executive. No experience in Sales, but was in client services with my company for 10 years. Base 142 with 100% match, so 284 OTE. Accelerators after 100, which doubles up to 125. (101 to goal will garner 102 in commission, 105 will 110, caps out at 125 so max is 150% commission) Q1 is looking good already so feel good about things. But curious if this is a good deal.

Can you post your AE comp - base and OTE? I want to see if I'm on par. Base: 142 with 100% match. Accelerators after 100% up to 125% (so if I hit 101% to goal, I get 102% - at 125, it's 150) No experience in Sales prior, but was in client services in this company for almost 10 years.

I’m going to be making an exit soon to a company that’s working hard to recruit me in. I’m in an AE position. I’d be forfeiting $18k in RSUs vesting, President’s club, and $200k+ in pipeline if I do move. I’m inclined to leave because this would be a step up in a role and I really like the team. My question is: is it reasonable to ask for a $40k sign on bonus to account for what I’m leaving here? How do you go about negotiating that?
