I worked at Zendesk full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - fast growing company - great benefits - (some) great people

    Cons

    - many low caliber mid level managers have been hired in recently. - culture is moving from start-up-ish into corporate - poor talent remain longer than they should because they are bound by equity vesting which has gone through a huge increase.

I have been working at Zendesk full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Company culture and the people truly are great. The atmosphere is very different in comparison to other companies at which I've been employed. Stock options and the food are reason enough to work here, but the great people are the cherry on top. The company is growing incredibly fast and it's been a wild ride and an exciting place to be at.

    Cons

Seemingly no consistent policy on working from home. Our team's activity levels are easily monitored and most of the time we communicate on Slack with our regional account teams and internal teams in the office, so it seems a bit odd we don't have the ability to work from home once a week or twice a month.

I worked at Zendesk full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great People and Team Spirit. You find very inspiring individuals, with great market knowledge. It makes you enjoy going into the office everyday. There is also a good demand to the product that Zendesk offers and customers are (generally) happy! Company benefits are also good.

    Cons

There is a SERIOUS diversity problem in the London office. They just don't look into it when they hire - very few people of colour, very few muslims, very few women in sales!!! It's almost embarrassing this to happen in a city like London . Specially when the company promotes so much its diversity - are you watching what's going on in the London office? Also, most people in higher management roles (Directors and above) are middle age white men. Surprised? On another note - CAREER PROGRESSION does NOT exist. They promote in very early stages of the sales path - BD to Junior AE. And that's it. They make NO effort to keep their sales team happy. There are no career progression plans and no promotions. They rather bring someone new from outside rather than give a chance to an existing employee. Have the management ever considered how much more expensive is to train someone new rather than promoting someone who already knows the product and the company?

I worked at Zendesk full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great people, great vibes, great office

    Cons

Difficult to have everything in all offices, but it is a shame that the tech/dev teams are less present in the London office

I worked at Zendesk full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Worked on a small team of great people. Great work/life balance. Beautiful office space.

    Cons

Departments felt totally isolated from one another. At times the Creative team felt like a production house for the rest of the company. Lots of meetings.

I have been working at Zendesk full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Great work life balance - Great Benefits - Great people and Amazingg culture - Lots of autonomy and not much micro-management

    Cons

    - Below Average Salary - Not many career growth opportunities with certain teams - Upper Management is just coming in to shake things up and then they leave. Doesn't feel like they really care about their team or employees at times.

I have been working at Zendesk full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Great People - Great Benefits: healthcare, free lunch - Good Salary - Nice Products - Inspirational CEO - Teamwork - Company Events/Trips are great fun

    Cons

    - Lots of changes (which you could argue is good) - No clearly established Vision for the company (or at least not communicated to employees). - Growing Pains: some things are set up in a very enterprise way (bureaucratic) while other things are extremely start-up style (no process, figure it out yourself). - Career Advancement: very rarely see people getting promoted (other than in very specific BD to Inside Sales path). - Only hiring Senior people from outside: Vision is to hire people from Salesforce, Oracle etc instead of promoting internally, which could risk the culture.
