I have been working at Yahoo

    Pros

It's a well-known company. It's a huge company with great career development. You are ok to move between teams.

    Cons

It's a big company without much process. It's a company based in the United States; hence, it's very US-centric.

I worked at Yahoo full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good colleagues, string engineering, tins of interesting problems, has good resea ch DNA though sharply diminished by Scott Thompson's short tenure as CEO.

    Cons

All properties under sharp and effective competition, company was buffeted by big management and strategy changes. Executive leadership can be variable.

    Pros

Really smart developers there to do a good job not just fill a seat. Good compensation and benefits.

    Cons

Operations/sysadmins aren't respected nor staffed like they should be. Devs get sucked into operational issues far to often in some teams.
