Pros

The loose management style gives you a lot of room to grow because of all the free time you have.

Cons

If you aren't a self-starter, you will be bored. Work from home is a bad word here.

Pros

If your life revovles around dirt racing, this is your dream. Office manager puts out snacks.

Cons

Newly hired managers have no clue how to effectively manage people, treat them with respect or value their experience and skills. Micro-mangement galore. Don't step away from your desk unless you want to be clapped at like a seal to get back to work. Hostile work environment makes it near impossible to make good connections with coworkers. You will be scrutinized for everything you do, right or wrong, and managment will continuously bring up their grievances despite no prior direction, guidance or clear communication of expectations. They claim they want to change things for the better, but refuse to implement changes and flip-flop to avoid being the bad guy when staff pushed back against changes. If you're put in charge of anything by management, be aware that they may not back you up, despite them telling you what to do in the first place. Several staff members have no respect for women (or LGBT+ individuals), especially those put in charge of implementing changes and are extremely rude. I have never experienced such disrespect in a 'professional environment' in my life. Many things said should have been fireable offences, yet no action was taken. HR manager (who was there for 17 years) was terminated shortly after I resigned. If that isn't a sign to get out, I'm not sure what is. There is little-to-no opportunity for career advancement and pay is lower than it should be, especially for the work loads put on people.
