Great Company If You're Willing to Actually Put In The Work

      Pros

Great company if you're willing to put in the work. It is a simple business, but definitely not an easy business. If you want to do well you are going to have to put in a lot effort and be patient. There is unlimited potential for growth, and you are able to completely control your own time and go at your own pace. You are given the opportunity to create your own business and build it your own way. The environment is super positive, and it forces you to become a better person through self development. Even if it turns out not to be for you, you will leave being a better person than when you started. You will also learn a ton about how to control and manage your own finances as well as helping others with theirs.

      Cons

Don't expect to make a ton of money right away. It does take time to get your license and you cant make any money until you do that. Once you do get it however it is pretty easy to make a decent amount of money on a part time basis. it is commission and so nothing is guaranteed, but the only way you don't make any money is if you literally don't do anything, which does happen more than it should , and then people use that as an excuse as to why they failed.

      Life changing decision!

Sep 5, 2020 - Financial Broker in Edmonton, AB

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Can start part time with very little investment up front that you can qualify to earn it all back by following the coaching in place.

      Cons

It takes commitment and hard work (but doesn’t everything worth while?). You have to be comfortable hearing “no” because not everyone will understand how much they need you and how you can help them.

      Cons

      - Not suitable platform for pessimist/negative thinkers - Wrong option for lazy guys - “ Be richer in an overnight” attitude individuals should not explore this opportunity - Not a better alternative for those who don’t want to upgrade their knowledge or hesitant to follow ethical practices - Neither a suitable option for those who want to live in their own comfort zone

      Pyramid? Scam?

      Pros

Perhaps the individuals levying this type of criticism should delve into the definitions of "pyramid scheme" and "scam" , both of which are illegal activities. I am a licensed insurance and securities agent with the province of BC and work for a brokerage company that distributes financial services for Manulife, Invesco, Ivari, Aegon, TD, RBC, IAFinancial Group, Equitable Life of Canada and many more companies. So put your critical thinking hats on..do you actually think that the aforementioned companies would engage our company's services if we were an illegal enterprise? Would the governments of every province and the federal gov't license agents who are aligned with an illegal enterprise. WFG is the fastest growing financial services company in Canada and the largest service provider in Alberta. I love working in this company, great work environment, lots of positive support, mentoring, education and the ability to earn an income based upon my hard work . Do we actively look for business partners? You bet. And so does every company actively look for the best people for their available positions . This is career that very few people are aware of and the earning potential is unlimited. Is it for everyone, absolutely not, but for $130 you can test drive this career option with a senior partner and make your own call. One heck of a lot cheaper than a university course of study or a technical degree that you may or may not like nor find work in after spending thousands of dollars. OH and did I mention that you can work with our company part-time and earn a very decent second income , as well as residual income. Or , get this , you are self-employed and have all of the tax breaks that self employment brings, like writing off gas, insurance, cell phone expenses, trips etc.

      Cons

You actually have to go to work and be disciplined, coachable and teachable. You are only paid if you are licenced in your province.

      Cons

Like any other business, this also takes time to build, and involves lots of rejections.

      Cons

It's a hard work but it's worth it. We give 100% to do our job why not do this part time with full time earnings.

      Pros

Positive people to be around Learning new things about insurance Part time

      Cons

Great at first then the hype wears down after a while. Hard to find clients without looking like your begging for them to come. Essentially like a pyramid! But you help people and families. You start your own business and build your team and make residual income from your pyramid ( team members ) down down down such and such. Very repetitive personal life stories !

      Pros

the hype upfront is amazing... that's how we were able to lure people in

      Cons

The reality is there is a 97% failure rate in this type of model. We sell insurance policies to the 'potential recruit' and later introduce that they can make a significant amount of money by joining either part-time or full-time. The bottom line is you can never be successful at anything that you only dedicate partial time and effort. After the Associates realize they're not earning the income that was promised to them, their upline are then left with the clients that the new recruit had help them generate.

Made about $10,000/yr part-time Business tax deductions

      Cons

Poor mentoring Overpriced fees: Winfund, email, E/o Insurance (almost half the cost when independent), office dues There are fees and cost of all the events which can net $0 at the end of the year Recruiting prioritized over financial knowledge Sexual harassment - denied the option to transfer offices Disability discrimination - denied being able to step down a contract to keep clients To many "Events" that never discuss the market and financial education Main focus is recruiting strategies around the industry
