A Toxic Culture of Silent Bullying, Classism, and Pettiness

Pros

You might get to work (indirectly) on some semi-decent films.

Cons

Working Title Films presents a polished public image, but behind the scenes lies a deeply toxic environment. The company fosters a culture of silent bullying. Passive-aggressive behavior, exclusion, and emotional manipulation are routine. This form of covert hostility chips away at employees’ confidence and wellbeing, creating a climate of fear and isolation rather than support or collaboration. A number of employees expressed that they were severely depressed and even considering suicide due to the bullying and exclusion/isolation tactics used regularly by management. Additionally, classism is deeply embedded in the company’s DNA. Opportunities for growth and inclusion are usually extended only to friends or those from privileged backgrounds, and working-class voices are frequently overlooked, undermined, and even occasionally, mocked. There’s little effort made to foster diversity or support those who don’t “fit” the traditional industry mold. Management PRETENDS to care about staff welfare, but it is only a "box-ticking" exercise to cover themselves against repercussions. Feedback is dismissed or punished, and HR structures are performative ONLY. The emotional toll of being in a place where empathy is absent and psychological safety is non-existent, is unbearable. If you value professional growth, respect, or mental health, this is not a safe or healthy place to work.
