I worked at Westminster Savings Credit Union full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Flexible Benefits/ Salaries are average/ Discounts on Lending/ Training for some positions is excellent. Some amazing staff

    Cons

Worked for WSCU for 15 years in multiple departments- most of these reviews are not accurate and make me wonder if it's HR trying to increase the ratings. Managers across the organization are for the most part terrible. Unengaged managers who do not engage or care about staff. No accountability for managers that are clearly in the wrong role. They promote based on tenure and not experience. Cannot attract & retain good employees & managers- they all leave. Speaking up about changes you don't understand or agree with will only put a target on you. People leave there roles and they don't replace them workload is constantly being increased creating stress in all departments especially admin departments. People are so frustrated moral is terrible. Work life balance is non- existent no flexibility at all anymore. Company is torn with Union striking branches would be smart to join union going into Merger with Prospera. They are treating the union staff terribly., pretty much sacrificing them so they can go ahead with the merger after the Union staff are forced out. Hr does not work for the benefit of employees they only protect the organization. Long term managers are protected and can do no wrong. Branch staff are so un-engaged and every man for himself mentality is creating toxic environments across the company. Leaving was the best choice I ever made & my only regret is not leaving sooner.
