    Pros

    - Company cares and actually listens to employees
    - Competitive Salary as compared to industry
    - Many locations so relocation does not necessarily mean looking for new job

    Cons

    - Not always clear how to advance in company , but leadership is addressing this issue

    Advice to Management

I worked at Western Financial Group full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

My fellow co workers were great, hard working, loyal and dedicated to their clientele.

    Cons

Management is out of touch with it's staff. Since Jeff Burke and company took over the focus was on them and there was not much support for the staff who make the business successful.

    Advice to Management

Now that Jeff Burke is out and Scott Tannas is back as interim CEO, I hope this company can return to the values it has always been known to have. Desjardins has a lot invested and this can be the best company in the insurance business in Western Canada but it needs better management and commitment to it's staff. This ship can be turned around.

I worked at Western Financial Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent starting salary, will pay for training.

    Cons

Corporate wants to fire you as soon as they hire.

    Advice to Management

I was hired with no experience and was told they would have me trained and licensed in 4 months. 2 weeks in, after maybe a day was spent training me, two people quit leaving only myself and the manager in a 6 person office. I was hung out to dry and was fired after a month. Take better care of your people, we want to work!
