    I worked at WestRock full-time

    Pros

Lots of work and overtime if you want it for hourly employees, but salaried employees don't get compensated anything extra for overtime.

    Cons

Work takes precedent over life. Any body under management does not get a fair shake in anything.
Management will step on any one employees throat if it will get them one rung further up the ladder.

    Advice to Management

Work isn't life. Get a life and treat people the way you want to be treated.
BU manager has the wool pulled over his eyes. Corporate managers have no idea what's happening up in Canada or how toxic the environment is.

    Pros

Their clients are wonderful and their product is high end.

    Cons

Huge lack of support for the position which causes extreme stress on the Account Manager and forces an absolute lack of balance in the life of the employee. You must be willing to work 7 days a week at least 12 hour days.

    Advice to Management

Provide support and take out the micro management which does not allow for solutions.

    Pros

Flexible hours and donuts every Thursdays. Not too far from home. I made some really great friends.

    Cons

Everything from the people who works there to management. The company is a complete joke. They hire based on who you know, rather than work experience and background. The sales team is full of egotistical and self absorbed people with "zero" background in sales. You are automatically promoted to sales within 9 months of being hired, even if you have no clue of the industry you are working in, just because you are personal friends with management. I question that??? Talking about sales, they treat the project managers like garbage. They give you demands rather than ask you to do something. It must be nice to work once a week and when you in the office, just yap all day and treat the project managers like servants. Management will smile in your face and then put a sword in your back. If they "like" you then great you have a job for life, but if you are a good worker but not their favorite then you can get let go at any given time. The best advice I can give is to constantly suck up to management, laugh at their obnoxious and lame jokes and you will be just fine.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like humans not machines. Donuts are not a good substitution for a pay increase. Hire based on experience, education and not because of friendship. Start treating the project managers as good as you treat the warehouse staff.

    Pros

Have a great benefit package, as well as good structure for vacation time. Opportunity to try out a variety of jobs within the organization, as well as some room to move up in the company.

    Cons

Since 2005 they have been bought out several times, and employees hired after 2012 are on a different pay structure and benefit structure then employees hired prior to 2012.

    Advice to Management

Become more involved with the employees on the floor. Also, try and set fair and realistic production goals that everyone can work to achieve.
