    Pros

Smart employees Loyal customers Some excellent designs

    Cons

WCI is a mismanaged company. Decisions seem to be made on the basis of whim, and managers definitely play favorites. They have lost far too many people to vindictive management decisions, the lack of clear chains of command, and constantly shifting assignments and priorities.

    Poor Management

    Pros

    - free snacks - some great co-workers - pretty flexible hours

    Cons

    - inconsistent and lack of processes lead to confusion and lots of unnecessary meetings with upper management - no execution of any changes - everything stays stagnant - no transparency - pick favorites - you will be one, and then quickly a new person will become a favorite and you will never be acknowledged again. - no company culture - company success is credited to the outside reps and president

    Pros

Inspiring showroom, lots of tradition, established, good decision process, flexibility, location, excellent products. Nice, smart down to earth coworkers and management.

    Cons

show room gets chilly in the winter. Quietude can be off putting if you're self conscious or shy.

    Pros

The location in downtown San Francisco is great.

    Cons

Senior management is stuck in dysfunctional dynamics and the drama trickles down... Hands are tied for middle management.

    Changing for the better

    Pros

-Laid back culture that also enforces the work hard then play hard mentality - don't go into it thinking the work life balance will be exceptional, it's an evolving company that is trying to push through to the next level, expect to work very hard but also realize that once the company makes it...you'll have that as part of your resume -The growing pains are pretty evident but if you're a worker who understands that hard times eventually pass and you have a thick skin to manage through them then you'll definitely thrive -Endless capabilities for what this company can do - after being in business for roughly 75 years, it's inspiring to see c-level management trying to evolve the company to thrive in modern times than to just throw in the towel. Find employees that share this passion and vision for WCI, not employees that can't handle change and innovation.

    Cons

-Not enough transparency -C-level management needs to focus on the type of employee they need, someone who's strong, thick-skinned and understands that there will be growing pains so if they can't handle that then it's not a good fit. You need to be hiring warriors not victims.

    One of a kind

    Pros

Ambitious . Ideally focused on moving forward

    Cons

Cold. The place, the people, the environment is like something from a grim movie. Management treats employees in the old school way of drive drive and then drive them some more. Turnover is high . The employees that remain are disgruntled, apathetic and lack any real passion. A culture of "pass the buck" "send them an email" is the order of the day there. Generally, poor and inept management is what lets the place down. A company is only good as leaders that can inspire.

Let go (Fired) - Please tell me why

    Pros

Co-workers at the time I was here were great.

    Cons

Let go within 3 months without warning or progressive discipline. I've seen about 6 people leave in my short tenure, had no clue I would become a victim as well. This was not a reductino in staff, rather they seem to be adding staff but can't do so as quickly as people quit or get fired. This staffing shortage and with everyone on a learning curve one has to cover for others and get blamed for not doing their job to some standard/spec not defined, rather at the liking of the President.
